Death is painful for those of us left behind.

A person facing death can be in various states from extreme terror to ecstasy. But at the end of the day, our witnessing their state is going to end soon. For us, however, it is felt as a great and painful loss.

The pain of the loss can be so big we take years to get over it, if ever.

Often, and particularly with those we were very close to, we have a sense of continuity, we can feel the person's energy around us even after their body is gone. But it is simply not the same. We cannot touch them, hear them, share with them, hug or kiss them. All their items, their property, is now left behind and no longer have any meaning, except perhaps the residual energy from the person.

Death is such a loss in our society that we don't talk about it, we don't look at it, we don't even have the opportunity to process it with friends and relatives because they are also too busy repressing the pain of loss they feel themselves.

So how come death is such an important part of Ascension? Well, it is inevitable that we will die and it is inevitable that everyone we know and love will also die. Who goes first? No one knows.

Once in the state of Ascension, you will not suffer because of your own death. You will embrace it with as much gusto as you do life; seeing it as another adventure, an adventure as exciting as each day is in living.

You will, however, feel the pain of others dying. It is very likely that you will soon regain contact with those people who have passed away, unless they were in a very dark space when they died. The latter take longer to be aware enough to be able to contact the living.

Can someone Ascend after death?
Yes.

Dear Inelia,
This theme has moved much through my life in various patterns. At what level are we alive and what level makes us dead....knowing full well, that it does not really exist. As I am studying various healing modalities for animals, my question is, at what point are we well, ill and at what point are we no longer in this dimension (eg dead)? Whilst I feel that this too is very individual, at the same time we also share some common things, eg that we will no longer be in this body in the here and now..so what decides?....mea ning, only if the soul has the soul contract can I offer it healing? But what part does decide if the help will make a difference? What right have I to offer it healing tools (homoepathy, acup, chiro, etc) and what enables me to help and what if nothing helps? Inside me I have a knowing I can make a difference (hence the study), but on the outside I am missing a key. It is not me that heals, but what is created through the opening of love of both souls.

What about transforming our body in such a way that death is no longer necessary for ascension ?

After reading many comments on many posts of this nice website, I came to say that I am one of those readers that have just seen your video with Bill recently. I found it very... "confirming" of what I deep down felt.
At one point, you mention the Brazilians "sensitivity" towards spiritual matters. And as part-Brazilian, I'd say I agree. I'm sure you know the "Espirita" philosophy, and it surely meet your point of view in many ways. But you never talk about it. Is there a reason for it?

Quoting True:
Aren't we fully aware = ascended when we die? I thought we go back to full consciousness. After all we probably lose our ego and human-related emotions + we probably regain full memory so we must become fully aware at this point by default --> why not become fully ascended immediately?
thanks

Only those who are awake can do this, or in Buddhist terms, enlightened. For the sleeping masses, they are trapped in the birth and death cycle and move from phase to phase unable to realise that they are indeed in charge. As soon as a person realises they are in charge, and don't fall into fear or pre programs, they, of course, become fully aware and have full memory.

What about taking our body with us.There have been more than one instance of this, why not everyone. Much tidier!
